US RAIDER PUNTERS PAL IN NUNTHORPE

15:35 York

This looks even trickier than usual to decipher and yesterday's going change (Good to Firm from Good) adds further confusion.

Suesa produced a devastating display when powering right away in a Group Two at Glorious Goodwood the last day. On that performance she arrives here as the one to beat and the fact she has the Fillies allowance really ought to rubber stamp her standing as the clear market leader. Typically however, she has never raced on going as quick as this and though there are few signals within her pedigree to suggest she will not act on it, she hardly represents much in the way of value.

Golden Pal was just chinned in last season's Norfolk Stakes at Royal Ascot, he quickly made up for that when making all in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Turf Sprint and advertised his well-being when hacking up at Saratoga last month. Strictly speaking there is every chance he must improve here though Wesley Ward is hardly a stranger to successful UK raids and the going will be no bother to him.

Winter Power has twice won here and is a serious player on track form alone, she ought to ensure Golden Pal has to work hard from the front and she holds quite a few of the others on the book. Tim Easterby has had winners at this meeting and she looks a very big player regardless of what the two above her in the market produce.

Dragon Symbol is as tough as teak and has shown enough to suggest his turn could be near, he can ill afford to be slowly out of the gates today though and easier opportunities will present themselves to him before long.

Arecibo has elevated his form to a new level since joining Robert Cowell, he looks an unlikely winner although Spencer could well weave a passage through late in the day and the place players may well be rewarded at fancy odds.

The rest would be shock winners and so on the grounds of him having winning form on the ground, it is with a heavy heart that we shall take on Suesa with Golden Pal, whom has the assistance of Frankie Dettori on top.

GOLDEN PAL (WIN)
