SUNDAY WEEKENDER

15:40 Naas It’s great to see flat racing back and this competitive card at Naas looks mightily mouth watering. An ultra competitive seven furlong handicap lies in front of us. There’s two likely improvers in the lightly raced Vociferous Marina and Zelaniya. Both represent top trainers and owners and both look the ones to beat. This being said however I’m hoping to have unearthed a runner that represents great value. HANSIAN PRINCE, trained by Graeme Lyons and ridden by Colin Keane, was ultra consistent as a two year old and goes well after a break. He’s proven on soft going and at around 14/1 definitely looks value for money to at least pick up place money. HANSIAN PRINCE (E/W)

16:50 Downpatrick SIZINGDOWNTHERHINE represents the top owners of Ann and Alan Potts and a very encouraging second placed finish at Wexford back in November shows he has a decent level of ability over the larger obstacles. Top amateur Jamie Codd is booked for the ride and with the addition of blinkers hopefully eking out further improvement he’s taken to go well. Need To Know is challenging our selection for favouritism and deserves the upmost respect however needs to step up on what he’s done recently to compete in a much more competitive race. The lightly raced Jammin Masters is the one that I fear most after two very encouraging starts. He looks the most likely improver and hailing from the stables of Ted Walsh demands close attention. SIZINGDOWNTHERHINE (E/W if 9/2+)
