15:15 Epsom Downs There are four last time out winners in this nine-strong field yet Galapiat has a 10lbs rise to contend with following victory at Leicester earlier in the month, Royal Marskell hasn’t won on turf in almost three years, Whinging Willie usually needs his first run of the season and Michaels Mount returns to action off a 5lbs higher mark so all look vulnerable. Early favourite Ruwasi should be fit following two runs over hurdles last month and has winning form over today’s trip but instead we turn to Barwick who runs well fresh, has a great record at Epsom with two wins and two placed from six over the twelve furlong trip and rides for trainer George Baker who has an excellent strike rate and level stakes profit record over the last three years at the course. With in-form jockey Frankie Dettori taking over in the saddle he should make a bold bid to follow up on last years’ victory. BARWICK (WIN)
