Distant Shadow looks likely to head the market but is yet to place in six career runs. She has looked much better since switching from turf to the all-weather and her best attempt so far came over course and distance in February when she finished fourth of eleven. She is open to further improvement but preference is for Indian Affair.
Indian Affair has only won once in thirty attempts but was a close second last time out and has a strike rate in excess of 50% for placed finishes. He has placed in three of his last four runs here at Wolves and benefit s from a 1lb ease in the weights for todays’ race.
Of the remainder, Piccolo Express catches the eye at a likely bigger price. Now 12lbs below his last winning mark and with all of his four career wins coming over todays’ trip he cannot be discounted despite looking out of sorts in both runs last month.

Kindlelight Storm looked to be returning to form with a close second at Chelmsford earlier this month and with a record of four wins from six over course and distance, all of which came around this time last year, he cannot be ignored.
Hickster is a previous course and distance winner rates as the main danger to the selection. His last run here at Wolves produced a solid second behind Dana’s Present, who went on to win again next time out, so he should be in the mix here despite a 2lbs rise.
Lendal Bridge is a recent winner over track and trip and although he failed to follow up this could be due to dropping back to seven furlongs and could be a one to watch now returning to nine furlongs off a 3lbs higher mark.

Our final selection comes the last race of the day, a six furlong handicap with six scheduled to go to post. Chookie’s Lass probably has the best recent form on offer, only going down by a neck at Chelmsford earlier this month. Her previous form here at Wolves is less than impressive though, with three attempts over track and trip over the winter without success.
Sakhee’s Rose has won here at Wolves (over seven furlongs) but was beaten in to fourth in the same race that Chookie’s Lass managed second at Chelmsford and has only managed one win in seventeen over todays’ trip and preference is for Fab Lolly.
Fab Lolly has a 27% win rate when racing on an all-weather surface, all over seven furlongs. Attempting six furlongs for the first time today, the drop in trip could be exactly what she needs as she seemed to fade in the final furlong last time out and the 2lbs ease in the weights is sure to be of benefit.
Fab Lolly (WIN)
