FAME HUNGRY FOR KNAVESMIRE SUCCESS

13:45 York

The William Haggas trained Ajyaall returned to action when disappointing here at York last time out. He went off the 5/2 favourite but could only finish 4th in a seven runner contest that day. That being said he didn’t seem to act on the much slower ground and seemed as if he were crying out for a longer trip. Returning to the Knavesmire over a further distance and with much better ground he seems to have more favourable conditions this afternoon. If the return run has blown away any ring rust I can see the Haggas horse finishing in the money.

At a bigger price the Yorkshire trained Fame And Acclaim looks an interesting type now that he’s switched from the yard of Joseph O’Brien. He made his stable debut in the hotly run Royal Hunt Cup at Royal Ascot and with a run under his belt for his new trainer I expect to see improvement. With the horse already being supported in the market he looks another who could go well at a price.
